Campus Campaign for Christ in '08 has a new marketing ploy called "Do you agree with Sam?" Sam is a junior at Miami who, the summer before his freshman year here, was in a car accident, rolled over three or four times, and woke up with a few scratches and a copy of the Bible fallen into his lap. Today was the first full day back in Cortland-Lakeview, and it felt like the funeral procession parking at the cemetery. I was warm for a few days, but now I'm cold and wet again. And poor. So poor.

I was walking to the library for a group meeting on a Melville presentation and when I cut through the ally behind the bike shop I saw a crazy cluster of icicles rapidly melting, so I went up to WeLiveTogether and grabbed my DVX and recorded it from a few angles for about 30 minutes, and in so doing completely blew off my meeting, which is the ( Read more... )

Heather called me last night shortly before the polls closed to inform me that Gilmore's surgery went well. So that's really good. In fact, it is awesome.

We had a burrito night, and it was fierce. Then we made margaritas and sat around the TV and laughed when we saw how much ass Obama was kicking, and shuttered when the GOP results came in McCain ( Read more... )
